Tripping

Here are some things I made for our trip:

1) Water Bottle Cozy

That there is an 18 oz. Kleen Kanteen. I really wish that they’d spelled it differently, but the bottle itself is nice. Those puppies dent if you drop them on something hard, hence the cozy, which provides padding and insulation. Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton, from the dishcloth stash, knit in the round on US 7 needles. This seems to be the ideal gauge and stitch count for this colorway, as there is no pooling or unsightly striping. It works pretty good, but I think I’m going to thread some thin elastic around the top for more staying power. Cotton and polished steel make for a slippery situation.

2) Bibs

Not for me or Matt, but for our nephew William. We went to Disney world with Matt’s family, baby included. They were wicked easy, made from a pattern I found online several months ago. Cotton chenille fronts, “decorative” cotton backs. I made three (all different), and the one shown above was used during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Really.

3) Toddler Decoration

Tahki Cotton Classic, pattern from Debby Ware. Awww… Here’s an action shot, from the aforementioned Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party:

Kid was cool about the hat, not so sure about the characters with the big heads.
